in the Printmaking room

There is nothing quite as satisfying as carving into a soft linoleum sheet, thence layering colours onto luxurious papers. The carving suits my style and my love for pattern and repetition. Although a lot of patience is required during the process of removal and the relief printing that is Linocut, the end result is always intricate and full of surprises.

Serigraphy printing on the other hand is all about the screens, and I enjoy using several screens concurrently in all of my series’. The textures and diverse technical applications onto the screens are limitless and my favorite end results are the waxy, crayon like drawings with richly layered colours.

I will usually complete 7 - 12 images in a series and each piece is unique.
