in dialogue with the stones

I surround myself with beautiful fragments of nature, some of my favorites being Petrified Wood, Peitresite and Boulder Opal. Drawing inspiration from these precious gemstones, they become the building blocks of my artwork and ultimately inform the imagery in this series. The patterns are relating to nature while resembling stained glass window motifs. Intuitive use of vivid and earthy colours embrace the fantasical worlds rooted in each individual stone.
